Admission

Confirm your fair access first.

The organiser lists several West Bund venues, including West Bund Art Center, West Bund Dome, West Bund Orbit and West Bund x Pome. It currently shows VIP visiting on 10–11 November and public visiting on 12–15 November. As the visitor page has no year label, treat these as a planning lead until the organiser confirms the 2026 schedule and ticket scope.

  • Check whether your ticket covers the venue you intend to visit.
  • Check your date and whether it is a VIP or public session.
  • Find the current purchase or registration route, price, entry document and refund terms on the organiser’s channels.

The Shanghai art week notice confirms the broader 2026 week, not your individual fair admission.

After the fair

Leave time for the river.

After the art venues close, take an unhurried walk on the West Bund waterfront. Shanghai’s official art-themed route follows the riverside and former industrial area. Choose a short stretch near your exit rather than assuming all fair halls are adjacent.

A separate West Bund neighborhood shuttle links Longyao Road Metro Line 11 Exit 4, Gate M Nest Park and Gate M Dream Center. The published hours are 11:00–14:00 and 17:00–21:00, roughly every 30 minutes, with no reservation. This is a neighborhood service, not an event shuttle; it does not cover every fair venue. Check its current stop map and last service before relying on it for your return.

Half-day route

Pair a museum with the waterfront.

On a separate morning or afternoon, visit West Bund Museum, then walk part of the waterfront at your own pace. The museum’s own visitor page lists Tuesday–Sunday, 11:00–18:00, with last entry at 17:00. It gives Yunjin Road on Metro Line 11 as a nearby station, about a ten-minute walk.

The museum is a separate attraction: do not assume a fair ticket includes an exhibition. Check the current exhibition ticket and any guided-tour reservation in the museum’s official channels. Recheck hours for your November date.

Practical plan

Save the exact destination.

West Bund has multiple venues along a long waterfront. Save the name and address of your specific fair hall, museum or meeting place in Chinese before you leave your hotel. Use the metro and the final walking route shown for that exact address; allow extra time between venues.
