Race and tickets

Treat the waitlist as a reminder.

The official F1 calendar lists practice on Friday 16 April, qualifying on Saturday 17 April and the race on Sunday 18 April 2027. Session times remain to be confirmed.

The official ticket waitlist is a notification route, not a purchase or admission confirmation. It says full passport details will be required several weeks before the event. Check the final ticket type, entry document rules, price, cancellation terms and seat or zone before making commitments.

Getting there

Plan around the circuit, then your return.

The race venue is Shanghai International Circuit in Jiading. Official F1 ticketing points to Metro Line 11 and Shanghai International Circuit station. Save the circuit’s Chinese name, 上海国际赛车场, and the entrance printed on your eventual ticket.

Choose your hotel by comparing the full journey from the exact address, especially after your last session. Race-day station operations, entrance gates, crowd controls and last train times for April 2027 need a fresh check. Do not use an older race timetable as a 2027 promise.

Jiading half-day

Make a separate day of motoring history.

On a non-race day, combine Auto Expo Park with Shanghai Auto Museum in the Anting area. The park is a public outdoor stop; the museum’s own visit page lists Tuesday–Sunday, 09:30–16:30, last admission 16:00. Check the current museum ticket and holiday hours before visiting.

Shanghai’s Jiading itinerary was published for the 2026 race. Its neighborhood ideas are useful, but its race-day operations and any activity closure do not establish 2027 arrangements. Keep this half-day separate from your Grand Prix entry plan.

Shanghai evening

Keep the city evening flexible.

For a downtown evening, the Bund waterfront offers a straightforward walk with views across the Huangpu River. See the Shanghai government’s Bund visitor information. Go after you return from the circuit only if your actual session end, metro service and energy allow it; a different evening may be more comfortable.

Save your hotel address offline and check the journey home before you leave. Our before-you-fly checklist covers practical arrival preparation.
